Orphaned

Is the animal really orphaned? Many animals are mistaken for orphans, and as a result are needlessly separated from their parents. The parents may be temporarily away and hunting or foraging for food to bring back, or leading a predator away. Here are some quick references to help you determine whether the animal is an orphan. If this doesn’t answer your question, please call our Wildlife Hotline at 403-946-2361.
